As part of our commitment to “Taking Flight With Purpose,” each year Gregg Aviation will award a one-time $500 scholarship to four deserving aviation professionals pursuing professional flight or aviation maintenance as a career. The scholarships will be awarded through the company’s LIFT (Lifting Individuals & Families Together) Program. The scholarship’s namesake is Chris, our Chief Pilot & CEO’s grandfather, Russell E. Gregg, who helped inspire Chris’ love of flying from a young age.
 
Eligibility:
  • 18 Years of Age or Older
  • Pursuing Aviation as a Career (Pilot or Mechanic)
  • Currently Enrolled in a Flight School (Part 141 or Part 61) or Aviation Maintenance Program or Appretinceship
  • Submit an Application
  • Provide a Resume & One Letter of Recommendation
  • Apply by June 15 (Spring Scholarship) or December 15 (Winter Scholarship)
  
Rules:
  • Has Not Previously Been Awarded a Gregg Aviation Scholarship
  • Must be a resident of the United States, District of Columbia, Canada, Guam, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands
  • Currently Enrolled in a Flight School (Part 141 or Part 61) or Aviation Maintenance Training Program
  • Scholarship Funds Will Be Paid Directly to the Flight School or Maintenance Program
  • Can Be Used for Private Pilot, Instrument Rating, Commercial Pilot (ASEL or AMEL) or Aviation Maintenance

  • All applicants will be notified of their status by email – by July 1 (Spring) and January 5 (Winter).
  • Scholarship funds are provided directly to the flight school or maintenance school.

Matthew's passion for aviation has grown through every stage of his journey. After earning his Private Pilot certificate, he discovered a strong interest in aviation maintenance and is currently pursuing his degree in Aviation Maintenance Science while working toward his Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certification. This scholarship will help him focus more on learning, continue building his aviation knowledge, and ease the financial burden of his education. Matthew believes safety must always remain the aviation industry's highest priority and is committed to carrying that mindset throughout his career. He is grateful for the opportunity to keep learning, growing, and preparing for a future doing what he loves.
